Its standalone features include input fields tailored for various reports, along with automatic creation of wrap reports, editor’s logs, clip logs, lined scripts, calculations, and facing pages. Designed to accommodate both film and serial productions, the app supports multiple slating formats—US, EU, and UK—and operates efficiently within a clip-based workflow. Multi-camera support and cloud backup are integrated to enhance reliability and collaboration. Additional functionalities encompass stopwatch timers, continuity photographic documentation, department-specific time tracking, among other tools. The application is optimized for iPad use, with best performance observed on iOS14 or later.

When paired with a Lockit+ box (detailed at http://manuals.ambient.de/lockitplus), the software gains advanced metadata features, including automatic import of clip data from ARRI, RED, or Sony Burano cameras—requiring a Lockit device on each camera—and live log display based on timecode.

Further enhancements are available through integration with the LockitNetwork Production Service, offering customizable report templates, multilingual reporting options, multi-user access, and support for parallel shooting across multiple units. Users can import pre-production files to streamline project setup and utilize a lined script feature for detailed annotations and off-passages. The software facilitates exporting data as metadata files compatible with post-production platforms such as AVID, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, and Pomfort Silverstack. Additionally, the Webgate.io connection enables seamless metadata exchange and video playback directly within LockitScript.
